Belfast Print workshop was established in 1977 to welcome artists interested in the practice and promotion of the art of printmaking. The Acrylic resist etching courses teach the basic principles of Acrylic Resist etching techniques on steel plates using liquid hard grounds and acrylic spray grounds to create tonal areas. The plates bite in a copper sulphate and cooking salt solution. This technique is a real alternative to traditional etching methods. It offers a wide range of creative options within a much safer working environment for the artist. Beginners and experienced artists and printmakers welcome.

Established in 1992 by painter-etcher,
Mary Gillett, Tamar Print Workshop provides a supportive and inspirational environment where people from all backgrounds can learn new skills and develop their work in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The workshop is well equipped for etching, relief and monoprinting and offers specialist and regular courses all year round together with exhibiting opportunities. It is situated on the edge of Dartmoor, near Tavistock in Devon. It is close to the Tamar Valley World Heritage site, and the Devon and Cornwall coastlines are within easy driving distance
